“Dating a man below your standards will ruin you” – Lady warns women

A Nigerian lady has got people talking on social media after boldly sharing her thoughts on relationships and standards.

According to her, women should never lower their standards for a man no matter how sweet the relationship looks.

“In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that if a woman has her life together, her business thriving, her income steady, settling for a man below her level can be dangerous.

In her words, she said:

“Do not ever get with a man below your standard. If you are already with someone like that, he will drag you down. He will pull you to his level. I do not care how sweet it looks to you now. That path is destruction.”

The lady advised women to protect their progress, their peace, and their money. She added that love should not come at the cost of your life plans or personal growth.

While some social media users agreed with her, others said she was being too general.

One user wrote, “She is right. Standards are everything. Do not settle.” Another commented, “Not all men or women are like that. Let us stop over-generalising.”’

Her message is clear. Never compromise your worth for anyone and always put your life and goals first.
