Bandits kill Zamfara Health Educator, abduct his four children and others

Armed men suspected to be bandits have k!lled a health educator Lawali Musa Moriki and abducted his four children in Sanyawa area of Moriki District, Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State. 

The attack occurred at about 1:00 a.m. on February 10, 2026.

According to security analyst Zagazola Mkama, the assailants shot Moriki d3ad before abducting an unspecified number of residents, including his children, two men and two women, to an unknown destination. 

Security forces were swiftly deployed to the scene to counter the attackers. 

The corpse of the deceased was evacuated to the General Hospital, Moriki, for autopsy. 

A manhunt for the fleeing suspects has been launched, with efforts focused on rescuing the abducted victims and arresting the perpetrators.
