“If you don’t have a valentine date in 2026, you aren’t a real man” – Lady blasts single men

A Nigerian lady has sparked debate on social media after sharing a blunt opinion about men who don’t have Valentine’s plans in 2026.

In a video circulating online, the lady said any man without a Valentine’s date or anyone to exchange gifts with this year shouldn’t call himself a man.

In her words, she said:

“If as a man in this big 2026 that we’re in, you don’t have a valentine, you don’t have anybody buying you anything, you’re not buying anything for anybody, you’re not a man, you’re a monkey.

To be honest, in 2026, you don’t have a valentine date? Nobody? Nobody loves you? You’re a monkey. So look for the nearest tree and stay on it.”

Her comment has since generated mixed reactions online.

While some people laughed it off and called it cruise, others argued that being single on Valentine’s Day is not a measure of someone’s value or masculinity.

One user wrote, “So because I’m single, I’m now a monkey? Valentine’s Day is not a life achievement abeg.” Another commented, “Not having a date doesn’t reduce anybody’s worth. Rest abeeg”

A few users also pointed out that not everyone celebrates Valentine’s Day, and some men may simply choose not to participate.
