“I can’t buy a woman what I haven’t bought my mum first” — American rapper, DDG reveals his dating rule

American rapper and streamer DDG is trending after opening up about a personal rule he follows when it comes to spending money on women.

According to Complex, the rapper made it clear that he doesn’t buy gifts for any woman he’s dating unless he has already given something similar or better  to his mother first.

According to him, doing otherwise simply “feels wrong.”

DDG explained that people often assume he’s a “big spender” on women, but he insists there are strict boundaries.

He said before he ever bought a watch for a girlfriend, he had already bought one for his mum. The same applies to bigger gifts like cars  which he says he has purchased multiple times for her.

The rapper also stated that while he can spend heavily on dates, he doesn’t believe in paying a woman’s rent or buying a house outright for a partner. He said the only situation he would consider is if it’s a home they both share.

DDG previously dated singer and actress Halle Bailey, with whom he shares a young son.
