“He asked me If I was…” – Lady laments after suitor demands a visit over ₦2k airtime

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to vent her frustration over what she describes as a growing trend of men prioritising intimacy over genuine connection.

In a heated rant, she questioned why some men barely make an effort to know a woman before inviting her over with the expectation of sleeping with her almost immediately.

In her words, she said:

“Why are men this useless? Once you meet them and they collect your number, the next thing is ‘come over’. They don’t even care to know anything about you. They are not ready to do or spend anything on you, but they want to sleep with you.”

She went on to narrate her recent experience with a man she had just met. After exchanging numbers, he reportedly suggested they meet up almost immediately.

The lady claimed she told him she didn’t have data and asked him to send airtime.

He allegedly sent ₦2,000 worth of airtime, but shortly after, began asking personal questions and hinting that she should visit him.

“I told you to send me card because I don’t have data and you sent ₦2k airtime. The next thing you’re asking is if I’m on my period and telling me to come and greet you. So if I come, you will get down with me? You don’t even know the kind of person I am,” she added.

She further stressed the importance of being cautious, noting that many people overlook health risks and compatibility issues in the rush for intimacy.

Her comments have since sparked mixed reactions online.

One user wrote, “This generation doesn’t have patience.” Another added, “Straight to ‘come over’ is crazy over ₦2k airtime😭”
