Popular Nigerian gospel singer Busola Oke has raised concern after an emotional outburst during a recent live broadcast, where she spoke candidly about the difficulties she is facing in her music career.
The visibly distressed singer apologised to her supporters while admitting that she is struggling to cope with the realities of the industry, particularly the lack of financial stability despite years of dedication to gospel music.
During the live session on Instagram, the Eleyele crooner lamented that producing meaningful music no longer guarantees sustenance, questioning how an individual could survive without basic necessities.
She explained that emotional peace becomes impossible when financial needs are unmet, stressing that talent alone no longer determines success in Nigeria’s entertainment space.
Her comments reflected deep frustration over what she described as the commercial decline of quality gospel music.
The singer further revealed that many people who once surrounded her during her peak years are no longer present, leaving her feeling isolated.
She suggested that the music industry has shifted in a way that marginalises artistes who prioritise substance over trends.
Busola Oke, known for several widely recognised gospel tracks, has since received an outpouring of messages from fans offering prayers and words of encouragement.
Many supporters have urged her to seek help and remain resilient amid the challenges confronting her career.
