“You’re not clean” — Mama J blasts women who vow to cheat if their husbands cheat

A video circulating widely on social media has stirred intense debate after a woman popularly known as “Mama J” shared her views on how wives should respond to infidelity in marriage.

In the clip, which has attracted thousands of reactions, Mama J criticised women who say they would cheat back if their husbands are unfaithful, insisting that such actions only worsen the situation rather than fix it.

Viral message sparks mixed reactions

Speaking directly to her audience in the video, Mama J questioned the mindset of women who consider revenge cheating as a solution.

“Did I hear you saying that? Wife, that if your husband cheats, you are going to cheat back. Mrs. Cheater… you don’t know your responsibility,” she said.

She stressed that marriage comes with defined roles, arguing that a woman should see herself as a helper to her husband, even in difficult situations.

“If you know your responsibility and the reason why you married that man, then you will know that you married him to be his helper,” she added.

‘Help him, don’t join him’

Mama J went further to describe infidelity as a “sickness,” claiming that a wife has a duty to help her husband overcome such behaviour rather than retaliate.

“Even if he is a cheater… you need to help him in that area, not to join him to cheat,” she said.

She also suggested that a woman who chooses to cheat in response may be guilty of the same behaviour.

“If you are that woman, it means you yourself are a cheater. You are not clean yourself,” she stated.

Controversial take on marital roles

Perhaps the most controversial part of her message was her claim that a wife is partly responsible for her husband’s personal development.

“You are responsible for his upbringing too… don’t you know you are his mother?” she said, a remark that has drawn criticism from many viewers online.

According to her, reacting with anger or revenge shows a lack of wisdom in preserving a home.

“You don’t have wisdom to keep your home,” she said, warning women against adopting such attitudes.
