A Nigerian woman’s decision to end her marriage has stirred mixed reactions online after her cousin shared the story online.

In the viral post, the lady revealed that her cousin is set to file for divorce, expressing happiness over what she described as a long-overdue decision.

According to her, the marriage had been one-sided for years, with the woman reportedly bearing most of the financial and domestic responsibilities.

The cousin narrated that the woman paid rent, handled children’s school fees, and managed the household, despite her husband also being employed.

She claimed the man contributed little, adding that there were times he would cook and eat without leaving food for his wife.

She further disclosed that she had advised her cousin to leave the marriage three years ago, but family intervention at the time led to reconciliation. However, the situation reportedly did not improve.

Now, with the decision made, the woman has chosen to move on quietly. When asked what influenced her final decision, she simply responded, “Don’t worry about it,” suggesting a deeply personal turning point.
