Disturbing video shows terror suspect stabbing two Jewish men in London

Disturbing footage captured a knife-wielding attacker stabbing an elderly man at a bus stop and pursuing another victim along a street during an apparent anti-Jewish rampage in north London.

Two Jewish men, one in his 70s and another in his 30s, are in a stable condition in hospital after the attacks in Golders Green this morning.

The 45-year-old suspect, who also tried to stab police officers, was tasered and arrested.

The incident has been declared an act of terrorism, and counter-terror officers are ‘working to establish [the suspect’s] nationality and background’.

Video from the scene shows the suspect going after a man waiting by a bus stop and knifing him before two heroic members of the public run to help.. He then ambushes another Jewish man walking in the other direction, with audio appearing to reveal him shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’.

It was gathered that the attacker was given CPR after ‘going into cardiac arrest when he was Tasered’.

Police have said the stabbing of the two men in north London is being treated as a terrorist incident, with officers investigating whether the attack deliberately targeted the Jewish community.

Speaking outside Scotland Yard on Wednesday, head of counter terrorism olicing Laurence Taylor confirmed that the stabbing has been formally declared to be terrorism.

He said:

This has now formally been declared a terrorist incident. Our highly specialised teams of officers are working with the Metropolitan Police to progress this investigation quickly and establish exactly what has happened.

We’re also working with our partners in the security services to ensure we have a full intelligence picture, and one of the lines of inquiry is whether this attack was deliberately targeting the Jewish community in London.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer called the stabbings ‘deeply concerning’ and said his Government were ‘absolutely clear in our determination to deal with any of these offences, the like of which we have seen too much recently’.
