A lady has gone viral after expressing frustration over an expensive perfume gifted to her by a man she met during a brief talking stage relationship.

The woman shared her experience in a trending video on social media, accusing some men of introducing women to luxurious lifestyles they may not be financially capable of sustaining after the relationship ends.

According to her, the man initially appeared caring and generous, constantly treating her to what she described as “baby girl lifestyle” before she later discovered certain troubling behavioural patterns that made her end communication with him.

However, she revealed that one of the luxury gifts he bought for her later became a source of stress after she discovered its shocking market value.

“Some of you know you have bad character. You’ll be spending money on somebody and putting the person on baby girl treatment when you know your red flag is very red,” she said.

The woman explained that she genuinely liked the perfume and had planned to repurchase it herself once the bottle finished, only to later discover that the fragrance reportedly costs ₦800,000.

“Guys, lo and behold, the perfume is 800k. Daniel! How much is my salary?How do you think that I’m earning that we’re spending 800k on perfumes? God will punish you wherever you are.”

The story has since generated widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians debating relationship standards, luxury expectations, and financial pressure in modern dating culture.
