“I’m not dead yet” – Man reacts after girlfriend begged another man for money, restricts phone usage

A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after opening up about the reason behind the crisis in his relationship and his eventual breakup with his girlfriend.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), he claimed he became angry after discovering that his girlfriend allegedly begged another man for money despite the fact that he was still in her life.

In his words, he said:

“My baby texted and begged another man for money when I’m not dead. I was so frustrated and got angry, and due to my anger, I slapped her,” he said.

The man revealed that his girlfriend threatened to end the relationship after the incident, adding that he has now accepted the breakup and is trying to heal emotionally.

He further disclosed that he began restricting her activities, including who she could call or text, due to trust issues in the relationship.

“Now I’m restricting my baby from doing a lot of things. She can’t call anybody, she can’t text anybody. Though I’m broke, I actually have the money,” he added.

His statement has generated mixed reactions online, with many social media users criticising his actions, while others debated issues of trust, control, and finances in relationships.
