Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has reacted to the latest video released by kidnapped victims from Oyo State, expressing frustration over the government’s response to the situation.
In a video shared online, the activist stated that if the federal government fails to rescue the victims within the next four days, citizens may have to raise funds themselves and negotiate directly for their release.
“If in the next four days the federal government are not able to bring these people out, we’ll have no other option than to do the first crowdfunding to get them out,” he said.
He further stated that Nigerians may be forced to personally handle negotiations with the kidnappers if authorities continue to delay action.
“We’ll be the ones to negotiate with the terrorists,” he added.
VDM remark comes after a newly released heartbreaking video of the abducted principal circulated on social media, in which she pleaded with authorities to come to their rescue, urging them not to use armed force but to instead engage in dialogue and negotiation with the terrorists.
The video has sparked mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians supporting his concern for the victims, while others questioned the idea of citizens negotiating directly with kidnappers.
The kidnapping incident in Oriire community, Oyo State continues to generate nationwide concern as Nigerians call on security agencies and the government to secure the safe release of the victims.
