A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after stating that he would not pay ransom if his wife were kidnapped by bandits.

While speaking on the podcast The creative side with Daniel., he claimed that if kidnappers abducted his wife and sexually assaulted her, he would rather remarry than secure her release through ransom payments.

According to him, he would find it difficult to remain in the marriage after another man had been intimate with his wife, even if it happened against her will.
