Man shares how bride walked away days after N9.8m traditional wedding

A man has recounted the experience of his boss whose traditional marriage ended unexpectedly just days after the ceremony despite the significant resources invested in the event.

According to the man, the incident happened about two years ago and left many people around the couple shocked.

He explained that preparations for the traditional wedding were extensive, with the groom making arrangements at both his family home and his bride’s family residence.

Costly traditional wedding

Sharing details of the event, the man said his boss spent close to N10 million to host the ceremony.

According to him, two cows were slaughtered as part of the celebrations, with one used at the groom’s family house and the other at the bride’s family home.

“My boss did his traditional marriage and he spent almost 9.8 million Naira because he k!lled two cows for the event. One in his family house then one at his inlaws place.”

The man further revealed that the marriage encountered difficulties almost immediately after the ceremony.

He said the bride informed her husband that she was no longer interested in continuing with the union just a few days after the traditional wedding had taken place.

“3 days after the event, the girl said she’s no longer interested in the marriage and left.”
