A young man allegedly k!lled his girlfriend in Edjeba Community, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. 

It was gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Friends took to X to share photos of the young woman while mourning her one day after she was killed. 

According to reports, the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, June 23, at her boyfriend’s apartment on Ajidi Street. 

Friends of the deceased said she was dating the suspect and had called them in panic to say her boyfriend was harming her. 
 

They called the boyfriend but he alleged she was not with him. 

Hours later, the body of the girlfriend was found in a pool of bl00d in her boyfriend’s living room. Her neck had reportedly been slashed, k!lling her. Reports claim she also had multiple stab wounds. 

According to reports, the deceased was a frequent visitor to the suspect’s residence. She was last seen in the community on Monday, June 22, buying food items, reportedly for a meal they planned to share. 

Residents said the landlord heard screams coming from the apartment so he called security operatives. 

Police responded and discovered the woman’s lifeless body with severe injuries inside the apartment. 

The suspect was immediately arrested and taken into custody. 

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the incident. Spokesperson Bright Edafe stated that investigations are ongoing.
