“I waited until…” — Man dances as DNA test saved him from raising another man’s child

A man has sparked widespread reactions on social media after sharing how a DNA test allegedly prevented him from raising a child he later discovered was not biologically his.

In a detailed post, the man recounted how a woman informed him she was pregnant about two months after they had a sexual encounter.

Although he initially misunderstood her message, he later realised she believed he was the father.

He accepted responsibility despite doubts

According to him, he chose to accept responsibility because he believed he was capable of raising a child and wanted to support both the woman and the baby.

However, he admitted he had lingering doubts about the pregnancy.

“Clear throat… so, two months after we had a thing, she sent me a text telling me she was pregnant. I was like, ‘I’m happy for you ooo,’ not knowing she was actually telling me that I was responsible for the pregnancy.”

He added that although he believed he had withdrawn before ejaculation, he considered the possibility that pre-ejaculate fluid could have resulted in pregnancy because the woman was ovulating at the time.

DNA test changed everything

The man said he requested a DNA test immediately after the child was born and received the results five days later.

Rather than disclose the outcome immediately, he claimed he waited until the day of the child’s dedication before informing the woman’s family.

“Fast forward to when she gave birth, I requested a DNA test immediately. I got the results 5 days later and kept them to myself.”

“It was 2 days before the naming ceremony, so I waited until the day of the child’s dedication to reveal the result.”

According to him, family members present were left disappointed after he revealed that the DNA test showed he was not the child’s biological father.

He concluded by saying he left the dedication shortly after making the revelation, noting that it was “not a big dedication ceremony tho.”

The post has since gone viral, with many social media users debating the importance of DNA testing, trust in relationships, and the emotional impact of paternity disputes.
