Nollywood actor, Stella Damasus shares three non-negotiables her daughter’s future partner must have

Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has revealed the three qualities she would never compromise on when choosing a potential partner for her daughter.

Speaking during a conversation with her daughter on Pulse TV, Stella explained that any man interested in her daughter must genuinely respect her and have the financial capacity to take care of both himself and her.

According to the actress, discipline is also essential because love for God alone is not enough to sustain a relationship without self-control.

“One: he has to fully respect you. He has to be obsessed with you. Very much so. Secondly, he has to have more than enough to take care of not just himself, but of you too. Three: he has to be disciplined. Very disciplined,” she said.

Stella further explained that while many people would want a partner who loves and fears God, she considers discipline of the mind and body equally important.

The mother of two noted that these qualities would help ensure her daughter has a responsible and stable partner. 

“It’s easy to say, ‘I want him to love God, I want him to fear God.’ I want him to have all of that, but without self-discipline, without discipline of mind, body, everything, everything will scatter. So those three things, I’m big on those three things,” she added.

The actress added that physical appearance also matters to her, noting that her daughter’s potential suitor must be good-looking.

Her comments have highlighted the qualities she considers important in a man who intends to build a relationship with her daughter, particularly respect, financial stability and discipline.
