Thieves set boy ablaze to prevent him from exposing them

A 12-year-old boy identified as Ojonugwa, has been ablaze by some suspected mobile phone thieves, to prevent him from exposing them.

According to reports, the incident happened last Saturday, in Ogugu, Kogi State. It was gathered that the young boy knew the thieves and because they were afraid that he might expose them, they set him ablaze.

Ojonugwa however, got up and threw himself into a drum of water as soon as the thieves fled on their motorcycles. The boy was rushed to the hospital for medical care.

According to Punchng, the Chief of Staff to Kogi State governor, Chief Edward Onoja, has visited the boy in the hospital. Onoja promised that the perpetrators of the crime would be brought to book.
