A new official pronouncement from HBO have finally confirmed that Jon Snow is dead.

“Jon Snow is dead,” HBO stated in its synopsis of the Season 6 premiere, making it’s first official announcement on the controversial Game Of Thrones death.

The episode’s description, distributed in a press release on Thursday, also added that “Daenerys meets a strong man” and “Cersei sees her daughter again.”

This announcement seems to back Kit Harrington’s (who plays Jon Snow) recent interview where he said that he only appears in the upcoming season in “scenes of me being dead.”

Perhaps we’ll know more when the premiere — titled “The Red Woman” — airs on Sunday, April 24 (9/8c).
