Former PDP Governorship Aspirant, Adeyeye, Visits Amosun, May Decamp To APC

Prince Dayo Adeyeye, a former governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday night paid a private visit to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state, DAILY INDEPENDENT has gathered.

According to one of his aides who spoke with our correspondent on condition of anonymity, Adeyeye who lost the PDP ticket to Prof. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, the anointed candidate of Governor Ayo Fayose met with Governor Amosun privately in Government House, Isale-Igbein.

He was said to have discussed with the governor on the possibility of joining the All Progressives Congress ( APC) and collapsing his structures for Dr. Kayode Fayemi who emerged as the flag bearer of APC last Saturday.

Sources said he decided to visit Amosun who is one of the power brokers in the APC on the possibility of a compensation if he assists the APC to victory in the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti state.

Speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Adeyeye confirmed the report that he was in Abeokuta on a private visit but said he can never join the APC.

He said ” Who told you that? Okay, Yes, i was in Abeokuta but it was a private visit. I will never join the APC. I have not decided on which party to join for now but definitely not APC” he said.
