One of the contenders for the position of Senate President, Mohammed Ali Ndume, has arrived the National Assembly premises ahead of the inauguration of the 9th Assembly. 

The lawmaker who represents Borno South Senatorial District arrived at the National Assembly lobby at exactly 7:20.am and was seen exchanging greetings with staff of the National Assembly. Ndume is the first senator-elect to arrive at the National Assembly so far.

Recall that Less than 24 hours to polls, PDP Finally Endorses Ali Ndume, Umar Bago For Senate President/ Speaker, “This decision is in the best interest of the nation, in line with our party’s determination to deepen democracy, ensure a strong and independent legislature, strict compliance with the principle of separation of powers as well as constitutional checks and balances in the polity. “All senators and members-elect on the platform of the PDP are to be guided accordingly,” the party said.
