Kano State Gov. Umar Ganduje secures the release of 500 inmates after paying their N20m fine (See Photos)

To mark the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, Executive Governor of Kano state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, paid the fine of 500 prisoners (worth 20 million) to secure their freedom. The prisoners were jailed for committing minor crimes in several prisons within Kano. According to Gov. Ganduje, this would also help to decongest the crowded prisons. More photos after the cut…
