Brighton Hove Albion have completed the signing of Paris Saint-Germain defender Romaric Yapi for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old right-back penned a one-year deal at the Amex Stadium with a one-year extension option for the club, and he will initially link up with Simon Rusk’s under-23 squad.Yapi told Brighton Hove Albion official website: “I’m very happy to be here at Brighton. It’s a beautiful club and city, and I am ready for this new challenge. “My best qualities are my defending, and I like to showcase my skills. That’s part of my identity and the way I like to play football.”I like to assist my team-mates and get crosses in for the strikers. I am happy to be a part of this team and feel it is the best place for me.”Yapi began his career in the French capital with PSG, and over the last two seasons has made nine appearances in the UEFA Youth League.
