Tottenham Hotspurs have unveiled the signing of Argentina international Giovani Lo Celso after his completed his loan move from Real Betis.

Mauricio Pochettino identified The 23-year-old midfielder as a key transfer target after the South American enjoyed an excellent debut season at Betis that saw him contribute 16 goals and 6 assists having joined the club on an initial 12-month loan from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.Tottenham have agreed on a £14.7m loan fee with Betis and the Premier League outfit will have to make Lo Celso’s switch permanent for a further £55m if they qualify for the Champions League but the North London outfit will not have an obligation to sign if they fail to secure Europen first-tier football for the by end of the season. Spurs have confirmed the attacking midfielder who has been capped 19 times by Argentina will wear the number 18 shirt this season.Lo Celso started his career with Rosario before a spell with Ligue 1 Champions  PSG where he made 54 appearances, scoring six times for the Ligue 1 side, as well as being part of the squads that won the league championship in 2018, two Coupe de France titles and the 2018 Coupe de la Ligue before joining Real Betis on loan for the duration of the 2018/19 campaign.
