Super Falcons will depart the shores of the country on Saturday for next week’s 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualifying match against Algeria.

Nigeria coach Thomas Dennerby has already submitted a list of 18 home-based professionals that will face the north Africa side, following the inability of foreign-based players to make the trip due to various engagements with their clubs.Super Falcons will fly aboard Turkish Airline into Istanbul and then connect to Algiers from Turkey’s commercial and economic capital with the encounter to take place at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida on Wednesday, 28th August 7 pm Nigerian time. However, the return in Nigeria has scheduled for the Agege Stadium, Lagos on Tuesday, 3rd September 2019, starting from 4 pm. Super Falcons has not participated in the Women’s Football Tournament of the Olympics since Beijing, China in 2008 as the Africa Champions failed to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London and the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
