Lionel Messi is competing with other two footballers for this season’s Pukas award for his goal against Real Betis in the La Liga.

Juan Fernando Quintero who plays for River Plate and Daniel Zsori who plays as a forward for Fehérvár have all been nominated.

FIFA announced the three-man shortlist for this year Puskas award and the Argentine captain is in contention to win the award. The Puskas award is given to the player who is judged to have scored the most aesthetically significant, or ‘most beautiful’ goal of the calendar year.Liverpool attacker  Mohamed Salah scooped the award at last year’s awards ceremony
