Ebonyi varsity student hospitalised after 41-day fasting

A student of Ebonyi State University Abakaliki, Ikechukwu Oke, has been hospitalised after allegedly fasting and praying for 41 days.

According to Christian Nwaokpa, a student of the university, claimed Oke decided to embark on the spiritual exercise because of the challenges facing his family.

Nwaokpa said, “He is from Ebiaji in Ezza North LGA. It is his nature.

“As it stands now, men of goodwill and ambassadors are on the way conveying him to the Accident and Emergency Ward in Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki.”
