Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho paid tribute to Manchester City legend Vicent Kompany, who was honoured on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.

The 33-year-old Belgium international who joined Anderlecht in the summer played no part at his testimonial match due to a hamstring injury as a Manchester City legends XI drew 2-2 with a Premier League legends side. Leicester City star Iheanacho, who played for two seasons at the club with Kompany took to his social media to congratulate his former captain.

Iheanacho and Kompany won the League Cup in the 2015-16 season with Manchester City under Manuel Pellegrini.
