The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission yesterday said it was still investigating the former Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, over an alleged N3.6 billion allegedly traced to accounts linked to her. The money was suspected to be kickbacks from contractors in Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.

President Muhammadu Buhari had on Wednesday directed her to proceed on an indefinite retirement leave and replaced her with Dr Yemi-Esan in acting capacity.
When contacted on when Oyo-Ita would be arraigned, the spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, simply told our reporter that when the investigation reached that stage, the public would be informed.
In August this year, agents of the EFCC had grilled Oyo-Ita.
