Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict on Chelsea transfer ban ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
The German tactician last face Frank Lampard’s side in the UEFA Super Cup last month at Istanbul, where the team emerged victorious via penalty shootouts. Chelsea were handed a massive blow after they were slapped with a two-window transfer ban by FIFA after they were found guilty for breaching rules regarding their dealings with Ivory Coast-born star teenage footballer Thierno Ballo.
Klopp said: “If there is one club in the world who a transfer ban didn’t hit that bad then I would say it was Chelsea because of their policy of the last few years,” “They had players on loan who have come back. Tammy Abraham knows how to score. They have all my respect. A top contender.”Liverpool would prove their worth against Chelsea on Sunday as they hope to maintain their unbeaten run in the league.
