Former Nigeria U17 international Chidera Ejuke voted Man of the match after scoring his second goal for Dutch side SC Heerenveen during the 1-1 with FC Utrecht at Abe Lenstra Stadion.

The 21-year-old forward started his sixth league game of the campaign as the hosts went in search of their first league win in six outings. Gyrano Kerk put Utrecht upfront in the 18th minute after neat work down the flank from teammate Leon Guwara but Ejuke drew level for Heerenveen on the half-hour mark as he kept his composure to fire home inside the box finishing off a fantastic cross from winger Mitchel Van Bergen. 

Compatriot Hamdi Akujobi was an unused sub for the home team as Heerenveen failed to find the winner as Heerenveen dropped down to 12th on the log with seven points from their opening 7 matches.
