Unknown persons on Monday evening, reportedly attacked a convoy of former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, injuring scores and damaged vehicles.

According to reports, the attack, which occurred at Sharada Panshekara Sabon Titi underpass bridge, caused chaos, as motorists abandoned their vehicles to escape the assault.

The victims were said to be part of Kwankwaso’s entourage, who were on their way back from his home town in Madobi Local Government Area, where he, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement had gone to commission a private female College of Nursing and Midwifery, as part of the celebration to mark his 63rd birthday.
