Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed why he turned down offers to return to coaching despite missing management after he stepped down as the Gunners boss.
Wenger insisted that he had the opportunity to return into management in the past year but he turned them down because of health problems in the family.”So far I have refused to return because there were health problems in the family. Offers always came when I really could not or wanted to.”For the future, I exclude nothing,” said Wenger to AFP.
“For example, I loved working in Japan.”I miss the contact with people. To sit in the same boat, to share feelings, victory or defeat. I feel comfortable with pressure, I have had it all my life. So I miss it.”Wenger declined the chance to manage Ligue 1 side, Olympique Lyon after he left Arsenal.
