Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo was upset with Maurizio Sarri’s decision following his substitution during the closing stage of the 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Ronaldo’s free-kick was tap into the net by Aaron Ramsey after Lokomotiv’s goalkeeper Guilherme failed to keep hold of Ronaldo’s low free-kick.Juventus was seeking for the winning goal when Sarri decided to replace Ronaldo with Paulo Dybala with just eight minutes remaining, a decision that infuriated Ronaldo and the Portuguese attacker refused to shake hands with the Italian manager.
Ronaldo spoke a few words to his manager before he walked off the pitch.Sarri’s decision paid off, as Juventus got the winning goal thanks to the Brazilian individual’s effort in the injury time. With the victory in Russia, Juventus has now qualified for the knockout stage, the first-place finish in the group is still open as they could be beaten by Atletico Madrid to the top off the Group D.
