Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi reacted with Argentina’s performance after beating Brazil 1-0 in an international friendly match staged at King Saud University Stadium on Friday. 

The 32-year-old forward returned to La Albiceleste squad since he was sent off in the third-place game against Chila at the Copa America in early July after criticized the South American governing body  CONMEBOL during this summer’s tournament.However, the Barcelona forward Messi made a triumphant return as he scored the only goal of the game in an international friendly in Saudi Arabia and he hailed his teammates for their performance. 

“At the beginning, we tried to play, we made a few mistakes and they created some chances,” he said Argentinean FA’s official website.”In the second half, we improved a lot. I think this system defensively gives us a lot. It’s good that we can play in several ways. When you win, you work with peace of mind, it is very positive for what is coming. We all ran a lot – it’s what we had to do.” Argentina will take on South Korea next week on yet again another international friendly.
