The gunmen abducted two persons, a business man simply identified as Alhaji LG, and a woman Hajiya Zainab Zaria.

Gunmen last night attacked Ruwan Dorawa village in Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State carting away 17 cows and 30 sheep.

Our reporter gathered that they stormed the village after midnight, tied the cattle before herding them away to unknown destination.

Later, the gunmen according to sources, visited neighbouring Gidan Mai Pampo village where they abducted two persons, a business man simply identified as Alhaji LG, and a woman Hajiya Zainab Zaria.

However, Hajiya Zainab Zaria was said to have escaped from her captors in the night and traced her way back to the village.

The police are yet to respond to enquiries regarding both incidents.
