Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed what would happen if the Gunners failed to make the top four and reach the Champions League next season.
Arsenal has missed the Champions League four times in a row and Arteta believes that if the Gunners failed to make it to the Champions League this time players will leave the club for Champions League football elsewhere.Arsenal is five points behind the Champions League spot, the exit in the Europa League against Olympiacos slim down their opportunity to enter the competition via winning the Europa League.
The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka are out of contract in 2021, while there remains constant speculation that Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil – who have a year longer on their deals – could leave the club.The Gunners manager is of the view that failure for Gunners to qualify for Champions League this season will force Arsenal management to make some ‘tough’ decisions.
