Atletico Madrid are planning to take a week’s break from training to protect their players from the threat of the Coronavirus.

With LaLiga matches suspended until the international break, Los Rojiblancos’ next game could be several weeks away.

As well as protecting the players’ health, the break would also give them a chance to rest in the event that the final weeks of the season go ahead.

Atletico are into the quarter-finals of the Champions League after sensationally beating Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.
