Former Tottenham Hotspurs and Newcastle United striker Les Ferdinand informed £20millions rated Super Eagles target to forget Super Eagles call up for England ahead of the 2021 European Championship.
The 21-year-old Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder has developed into an outstanding player over the past few years and this season has claimed an impressive 12 goals and eight assists in 37 Championship games.
However, QPR’s director of football Ferdinand, a player who played in the Premier League for many years and was part of England’s Euro 96 and 1998 World Cup squads believes Eze an England U-20 international has the talent to challenge for a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad.
“A lot of the time you need to be in the Premier League to be recognised but he has shown the kind of form and, if he continues to develop in the way he is developing and keeps showing the type of football he has been playing, he is certainly going to put himself in the frame,” Ferdinand told Sky Sports News.
“People are going to start talking about him playing for England.
“He came through and we have got a few others at the club too.
Bright Osayi-Samuel is doing extremely well, as is Ryan Manning at
left-back. He is not English but he is in the Ireland set-up.”
Eze form has seen Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, and West Ham but the Nigerian descent current deal with the Championship runs out in 2021.
