Jurgen Klopp wants Liverpool to make a move for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to reports in Spain.

The German boss is reportedly a big fan of the Frenchman and believes he can reignite the form that made his such an attractive proposition during his short but successful stint Borussia Dortmund.

According to Sport, the Catalan giants have run out of patience with Dembele which could lead Liverpool to make a £80m bid for him.

Since making his £136million move to the Nou Camp in 2017 from Dortmund, Dembele has struggled to get going and has been plagued by injuries.

Barcelona will now look to cash in on the winger and turn their attention to bringing in Inter Milan starlet Lautaro Martinez, who could cost upward of £100m.

Dembele has been out of action after pulling up with a thigh injury against his former club Dortmund in the Champions League last November.

His alleged poor diet has also led to many question his lack of discipline – a similar issue he experienced at Dortmund.

The 22-year-old has only played three full games for Barca this season and has spent most of the campaign on the sidelines with a separate thigh issue.

Dembele has not lived up to expectation, especially when he was considered as the man to replace Neymar just three years ago.
