Manchester City has entered the race to sign Argentine left-back Nicolas Taglifico when the summer transfer market opens.

Chelsea want a proven defender at the left-back position with Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri failing to meet up with Frank Lampard’s demand at the Stamford Bridge.

The manager is looking for an upgrade at the left-back position likewise Manchester City who has limited options in that position.

Many left-back defenders have been linked with a move to Chelsea but the most recent is Ajax defender Taglifico.

The report also linked Premier League Champions to the Argentina international and it looks like the two Premier League teams will do battle for the signature of the Ajax star.
