Diego Godin is reportedly expected to leave Inter Milan this summer, with a move to the Premier League on the cards.
The former Atletico Madrid defender, who moved to Inter in the summer of 2019 on a free transfer, has struggled to be a consistent starter in Antonio Conte’s defence this season.
The Inter boss has generally preferred to play Alessandro Bastoni and as a result, the 34-year-old could move to Manchester United or Tottenham in the coming months, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport.
The report details that the Red Devils are the favourites for the Uruguay international.
However, Spurs and Jose Mourinho are also keeping an eye on developments with Godin at the San Siro.
Godin, who won La Liga with Atletico in 2014 and was twice a Champions League runner-up with the Spanish club, has made 16 Serie A appearances this season.
He has made 136 appearances for his country since his debut in 2005, and is currently the national team captain.
Meanwhile, Godin’s team-mate Lautaro Martinez is also being linked with a move away, with one of his agents saying the Argentine could move to Barcelona.
Martinez has become one of the most-sought after players on the planet after shining for Inter Milan this season, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in just 31 appearances.
Barcelona have been in hot pursuit of 22-year-old Martinez for a while now and they view him as the perfect replacement for Luis Suarez.
