Bayern have announced that Philippe Coutinho has undergone successful surgery on his right ankle, during which loose joint fragments were removed.

The Brazilian will be out for around 14 days before starting rehab training.

According to earlier reports, Barcelona will let Coutinho leave for a fee in the region of 80million euros this summer with Bayern Munich set to pass up the opportunity to sign the Brazilian permanently following a season-long loan at the Allianz Arena.

Chelsea have reportedly identified the Barca man as an alternative amid growing concerns top target Jadon Sancho will plump for a move to Manchester United this summer.
