Arsenal players are back in training today after 47 days of isolation but strict coronavirus isolation rules will still be enforced.
Mikel Arteta’s men will all have a pitch to themselves at the ten-pitch Hertfordshire complex in Colney.
The return to work is voluntary but most of the squad are expected to turn up, although they have to travel alone and will be in groups of five for a series of one-hour sessions.
Medical and fitness staff will take the sessions from afar and the players are not permitted to socialise with each other.
They will even have their own specifically assigned football to avoid cross-contamination.
All the buildings will remain locked so each player has to arrive in their kit and shower and change at home.
There has been a thorough deep clean of the £10million training base and this is the first time it has opened since Mikel Arteta tested positive for coronavirus.
It is feared that news of the return to work will prompt supporters to come and watch or wait for the team outside.
But the group have been told in no uncertain terms that they cannot speak to fans, pose for selfies or sign autographs.
It is thought that Arteta will be among those in attendance at Colney with the majority of the 25-man senior squad coming in for different stints throughout the day as they look to build their fitness levels back up.
Datz great dare,
