Spanish midfielder Dani ceballos has revealed Arsenal players showed signs of coronavirus symptoms following Mikel Arteta’s diagnosis but were not tested.
Arteta became the first figure in the Premier League to test positive for the disease back in March, play suspended ever since.
Arsenal’s entire first-team squad were subsequently quarantined for a two-week period, but Ceballos – speaking to Movistar – has now revealed a number of players were also experiencing symptoms.
“I woke up one morning and saw [Mikel] Arteta [had tested] positive,” Ceballos said. “The team was quarantined. There were players with symptoms, but we are all fine. They haven’t tested us.
“I am doing as best as I can. It is hard being away from family. Here [in England] you can walk down the street with ease and go out to exercise once a day.”
