Tottenham are preparing a double raid on Serie A with moves for Juventus and Atalanta defenders Alex Sandro and Timothy Castagne, according to reports in Italy.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his full-back options, with Serge Aurier and Danny Rose’s futures at the club both in doubt.

And according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Portuguese is searching for reinforcements in Italy and his club are reportedly offering Maurizio Sarri’s side Aurier plus cash for the services of Sandro.

The report states that Juventus’ asking price for the Brazilian is £44million (€50m), but they are hoping to lower the cost by offering the Ivorian as part of an exchange deal.

Sandro, 29, has made 31 appearances for the Serie A leaders this season, in which he has contributed four assists for the club.

The same source also claims Spurs are already in advanced talks with Atalanta for Castagne.

The 24-year-old Belgium international has scored twice and recorded two assists in 19 competitive games this season.

The report also believes another potential deal between Tottenham and Juventus could involve Mattia De Sciglio coming to north London in exchange for Rose, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United.

Italy international De Sciglio, who joined Juventus from AC Milan in 2017, is also interesting Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.

The news regarding full-back additions at Spurs comes after reports last week that Manchester United and Chelsea had joined them in the race to sign PSG defender Thomas Meunier.

L’Equipe reported that Spurs remain the favourites for the Belgian’s signature, but latest reports suggest Mourinho is scouring the European market for alternatives.
