Real Madrid Become First Football Club To Join United Nations Global Compact

Real Madrid have joined the United Nations Global Compact, becoming the first football club to sign up as a “participant”, the highest level of commitment.

The Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world and has the participation of more than 13,500 entities in 165 countries.

Real Madrid, in accordance with its code of ethics and its corporate social responsibility policy, reaffirms its commitment to the 10 universally accepted principles included in the Global Compact, referring to the areas of human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption.

Real Madrid are therefore committed to aligning all its operations with respect for these principles, and to adopting measures in support of the United Nations goals as set out in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
