The English Premier League has confirmed it will resume fixtures from June 17 and all 92 matches will be televised in the UK, assuming ‘all safety requirements’ are met.
A statement was released this evening, after multiple sources had already reported the 20 clubs agreed on Project Restart.
There is a “new provisional restart date for the 2019/20 season of Wednesday 17 June, provided that all safety requirements are in place.”
It will begin with Aston Villa-Sheffield United and Manchester City-Arsenal, which had been postponed due to the Carabao Cup Final.
The first full round of matches since the COVID-19 outbreak will be on the weekend beginning Friday June 19.
The Premier League statement also confirmed that all 92 matches will be broadcast live in the UK by existing partners Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC Sport and Amazon Prime.
There are due to be matches on a Friday evening at 20.00 BST, Saturday at 12.30, 15.00, 17.30 and 20.00, Sunday at 12.00, 14.00, 16.30 and 19.30, plus one on Monday at 20.00.
Midweek matches can be scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 18.00 and 20.00.
