Two Nigerian strikers of Peter Godly Michael and Samuel Adegbenro are both the match-winner for their respectively of Vaalerenga and Rosenborg in a pre-season friendly ahead of the Norwegian Eliteserien League kick-off June 16.

Both strikers struggled with injury last season, but they now appear to have put that behind them in time for the new campaign.

Michael scored the only goal of the encounter in a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Bodo/Glimt in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.

Adegbenro grabbed the winning goal for Rosenborg against neigbours Ranheim.

It was Rosenborg’s eighth win in nine pre-season games.

Valerenga begin the new season with a trip to the Sarpsborg Stadion, where they face Sarpsborg 08, while Rosenborg host Kristiansund on June 16.
