Bulgaria legend, Hristo Stoichkov has opined that Luis Suarez will be a great teacher for Barcelona target Lautaro Martinez if he eventually joins the Catalan giants at the end of the current season.

The former Barcelona star is a huge fan of the Inter Milan forward and wants him to move to the Camp Nou as it will be the right switch at the time of his career.

Stoichkov argues that the 22-year-old would benefit from learning from current Barcelona No.9 Luis Suarez.

“I love Lautaro Martinez,” Stoichkov told the Argentinian radio station FM Late. As a winger, I liked those strikers. He is very mobile and works hard for the team.

“He never stands still and that’s more important than scoring a goal. If Lautaro Martinez joins Barcelona, he will have the best teacher in the world: Luis Suarez. They both have good movement. Obviously you can play the two together plus [Lionel] Messi.

“If he comes to Barcelona, he can become as important a striker as [Gabriel] Batistuta was.”
